The arms are exposed areas of the body. They suffer from dryness during winter and also become tanned on exposure to the sun. Before your bath, apply olive oil of sesame seed (til) oil on the arms, massaging it into the skin. We recommend Shaherb Body Massage Oil, which contains sandalwood, almond oil and olive oil. During your bath, scrub the arms with a loofah or towel. Use mild glycerin soap, or a soap-free body gel. Twice a week use a body scrub, like Shascrub Face and Body Scrub. It helps to remove tan and brighten the skin. To remove tan, you can also apply Shadew Turmeric Treatment on the arms before your bath. Home Remedies Ground almonds make a good home scrub. During winter, the feet can become really dry and need special care. Give yourself a weekly foot spa treatment at home to revitalize the skin. Soak your feet in hot water, adding some coarse salt and coconut oil. Add rose petals to heighten the experience. After washing the feet, take 2 tablespoons sunflower oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 3 tablespoon coarse sugar. Mix together till it becomes a paste. Apply and rub into the skin of the feet. Rinse off after 15 minutes. This helps to nourish the skin and lighten skin colour. Or have a weekly pedicure or foot spa treatments at a salon. They are great ways of taking care of the feet and preventing dryness. These salon treatments also include foot massage, which is most relaxing. Damaged hair can be dry and brittle and tends to break off easily, or acquires split ends. Actually, damaged hair is weak and can eventually lead to hair loss. The most common causes of hair damage are repeated use of chemical hair styling lotions, or colouring, dyeing, bleaching and direct heat applications. The chemical lotions disrupt the normal acid-alkaline balance of the scalp too and leave it prone to problems. Damaged hair means that it is time to detox. First of all, discontinue the procedures that lead to damage. Damaged hair is in a fragile condition, so treat it gently. Avoid brushes and use a wide toothed comb with smooth edges. Acne usually occurs on an oily skin. That is why it is common during teenage, when the body goes through hormonal activity, which also activates the oil glands. Daily cleansing and skin care, with appropriate products, is the only way of protecting the skin from acne.
